The U.S. Post Office is planning to close the Ellicott Station post office on Washington Street in Buffalo, sell the building, and move retail services to a smaller, leased location. Representatives of the Postal Service will present a proposal at the Common Council Chambers at Niagara Square on January 26. The Washington Street facility was built in 1978, but the Postal Service says it no longer needs the nearly 10,000 square feet in the building. Read more (and more).
