Postal service kills plan to sell Old Chelsea post office


Here's something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  The Postal Service has dropped its plan to sell the historic Old Chelsea post office in New York City.  "“I am thankful that after the completion of the public review process, USPS has taken these concerns into consideration and is now exploring options that do not include selling off this historic community asset," said Congressman Jerrold Nadler, who represents Manhattan.  The Postal Service did not respond to requests for comment from DNAInfo, so it's unclear exactly why the plan to sell the building has been killed.  Read more.
