The 1937 post office at 1625-1635 Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia, is listed on the USPS-CBRE Properties for Sale website.  The listing says the Postal Service wants to have the property under contract this month, with a closing in February of 2015, at which time the Postal Service will relocate to a new facility.  According to the USPS Leased Properties list, in September 2011 the Postal Service leased a new space a few doors down the street, at 1643 W. Broad Street, with a rental of $55,000 a year.  Apparently the Postal Service has been paying rent on the unused space for the past three years. The historic post office was initially listed on the CBRE site back in 2011.  A Google search shows no articles about a relocation procedure having been conducted, but perhaps it occurred without much public notice or notification.  See the CBRE listing.
