Modesto’s historic downtown post office soon to become law offices

A law firm will soon take over the main floor of downtown Modesto’s historic El Viejo post office.  Most of the the Depression-era murals by Ray Boynton and his assistants in the post office lobby will remain, while a couple of others, long thought missing, are in the possession of the federal government.  The lobby murals probably continue to be owned by the government, but for all intents and purposes, they now belong to the new owners of the building.  Read more.
