Rumor alert: Times Plaza Station in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, may close

There's a rumor going around that the Times Plaza Station on Atlantic Avenue in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn will be closing.  It's not clear yet whether the Postal Service has decided to move out or if the landlord simply has made other plans.  The lease ends in February 2014, and a report in the Brownstoner says the landlord plans to tear down the building and put up a seven-story hotel.  Read more.  (The post office has a history of problems.)
